Is it a good idea to apply wax before trying to afffix a tank pad? I wouldn't imagine so, but I got quite a few very fine scratches on my tank from riding in the rain the other day and now I'm kicking myself for not puting the pad on sooner. If it is a bad idea, how long should I wait after waxing before trying to get the pad to stick? Neutral

You need to wash off any wax, silicone, etc, before fitting the pad. Clean the tank thoroughly, put the pad on, then wax the tank. Thumbs Up
