Divorce can be such a wonderful thing. I went from abject hell to utter bliss in such a short time. In fact, I'm still grateful to my ex-wife for wanting away. I ended up in such a better place I can't tell you. The ex has been remarried and split again already, whereas I'm very happily married again and have been for nearly 6 years. Makes me think that things weren't as much my fault as she made out. Getting divorced was one of the best things I ever did.

If its the decree nisi you just got, then don't forget to have the decree absolute processed after 6 (or is it 8?) weeks!

I got my decree nisi in April 2002, and then forgot to do the other bit 6-8 weeks later... a year later I realised I'd forgotten, and it was too late, LOL

I get on alright with my ex-husband so well now that I was tempted to buy him a silver wedding anniversary gift last year, except I didn't think his current bird would see the humour in the situation

if its a nissi you have to wait 6 weeks before filing for an absolut which takes a couple of weeks, dads finaly got his through and it took like 6 months total.
