Ok, firstly, I live in a highly welsh nationalist area of ceredigion. I'm a welsh italian, and I'm proud of my heritage on both sides. However, obviously, this isn't welsh enough for some as I was not "born in the village".

(I've had various problems with racism and even had my house literally drive-by'd, as well as a brick through my window, and various racist graffiti slogans on my walls. all simply relating to being italian, or simply not welsh "inuff".)

But you'd expect a professional organisation to require a certain level of conduct!?

I live with my grandmother who's 80 and occasionally suffers crippling arthritic pain.

our postman literally hates us for no reason. the first christmas he appeared here, she gave him a £100 tip like she used to the postman every year. last year she didn't, because he's so rude to her and us.

it's nothing too bad, just remarks, and general lack of manners. usually anything he says is muttered so i can't hear properly and then he's in his van and off.

today though, i was in the shower with the window open (it's a small bungalow)... and he gave the door a single thump expecting an instant answer.

obviously being naked and knowing my nan was there, i thought meh, i won't jump out. then i clear as day hear him shout "hurry up you crippled old cunt for fuck sake!!!"

then, rather than wait, he's opened the door and thrown the parcel in just as she was coming into the kitchen where the front door opens into. then storms off leaving the door open.

we have 7 dogs in the house and i'm sure he'd have enough to say if one of them attacked him as an intruder. I work in security too, so one is a trained guard and protection dog so it is likely he would be bitten. and quite rightly too. (i have signs, and a license etc in line with the law on keeping guard dogs)

also, i show my bullmastiffs and we usually win stuff. so theyre worth a few bob. if they got out and were ran over, would the royal mail be paying for them? my terriers the same, i don't show them, theyre worked, and i've been offered inordinate amounts of money for them too.

if i hadn't been in such a compromising position i've no doubt i'd have beaten him half to death today. why should we take such abusive behaviour from our postman!?

i've sent them a complaint to see what they say.

has anyone else had such problems with their fecking postman?!

It's nothing to do with the Royal Mail. Plainly the bloke is just a cunt. I think you'd be fully justified in kicking the fucker's head in and then letting your dogs bum him. Or you could bum him if you felt like it. What an obnoxious twat.

And for what it's worth, there's no excuse for racism or sectarianism. The world would be an infinitely better place if, as in the words of Bill & Ted, we were just "excellent to each other". Easy.

It's strange that your area is so racists. I used to live in the valleys and find it a very homely area. Places will always have the odd dick head but the situation you describe seems very odd!

OP - the guy sounds like a massive tosser; record it next time it happens. Alternately, move to somewhere that's not occupied by pond life. Not the most helpful advice I know, but no-one should have to contend with that sort of behaviour in their own home.

From when similar happened to a family member of a friend - no, they would not be paying for any injury etc to the dogs.
They would be suing you for your dog biting them and pushing to get the dog put down.

In this case the door was very slightly ajar, but opened further by the post man to put something in. Dog was a rescue I believe who was still quite 'protective'. Dog was put down thanks to the post office.

My point was that for the story of bad service it didn't need a history lesson nor did it need be stated the ethnic type. Doing so made it racist as in The Welsh bastard postie doesn't like me because I'm Italian.

It was a story of poor service and the OP brouaght race into it. If he has a hang up about it others will play on it.

The only time ive ever called someone a cunt was when they couldnt control their dog on public property and it bit me.

I got in trouble for my language, nothing formally though just a 'word'.

Dont know what happened to the dog, this was before the law was passed regarding dog bites, though probably fuck all.

Point is, RM do actually take their complaints policy pretty seriously even if your postman doesnt, make the complaint and see what happens.

We get really odd complaints sometimes but they have to be followed up.

Like for example, when you finish a bag of mail and move onto the next one (usually 6-8 bags a day), you fold an empty one inside another one and so on.

A passer by kept complaining that the postman (who i know well) was leaving bags of mail on his bike unattended, this happened several times.

Eventually the 'IB' (royal mails internal security) showed up and checked, obviously just finding empty bags.

Wave my old postie lost his job for similar someone accused him of.not delivering mail properly /tampering with mail, all he was doing was removing all the junk mail leaflets and binning them which I thought was fairly decent of him. All it takes is one.complaint, put a cctv sticker in viee but out of view and then hid camera and sound recorder.

Meaning binning them is binning mail (even though its retarded).
