Some bastards broke into my garage today and stole one of my R1s the 2007 model!

Gonna have to move the old R1 out and the two scooters out till the garage is secured again fucking pissed was gonna sell the 07 R1 in spring!

Reg is GP07JUV

Its so gutting you cant even cry!

garage door properly busted, the bike was locked with 4 different chains in hindsight i should have locked it to the old R1 maybe it would still be here....o well
The bastards bolt croped 2 chains which were cheap shit chains as the almax was locking the old R1
bike had no battery attached to it was stolen between 16:00 and 22:00 but i think it happened sometime after 16:00 as thats when it dark outside.

bike was not insured as i was not using it and had on sorn as i was gonna sell it in the spring so didnt see any point in insuring it, cost me £4k so thats £4k just gone was worth about £5k

bike was stolen from Crystal Palace/Sydenham Hill

Police came and forensic guy came but chances of these coming back are slim as its propberly being broken up or shipped abroad

below are the pics of it:

Sorry to hear it mate.

May think it's a lost cause, but upload some photos and give some details of area etc. Somebody might come across it either being broken or sold on.

That sucks. Hope the insurance gets sorted out easily. Is there any way the thieving bastards would have known you had a bike in the garage? Do you have dodgy neighbours?

from the looks of it they tried to break into the garage next to me first as that garage has 4 different padlocks and they bent that door and pecked in and saw that the bike was not in there then they broke into mine and from the damage it looks like they used bolt cropers and a crow bar and what makes it worse i was in my house playing World of Warcraft when this was happening

I'm surprised to hear the police came.

When we had two bikes taken, all we got was a victim support advice letter in the mail.

You are some unlucky bastard matey.

Shame to hear this, do you not have an alarmed door or bike?

With more than 1 bike in there, chaining them all together would be a good move..

2 alarms and 4 chains, fuckers gonna be there a while.

I hope your insurers are easy to deal with and you get the dosh soon.
I would be inconsolable until I got the cheque.

Delete this bit as some cnut never read the post properly Embarassed and some cnut decided 4k wasn't worth insuring. Shocked

Nice bike. (was).

I toyed with the notion of a roller shutter on our garage for this very same reason but it would cost £1000. Yeeeks Shocked

A thought to cheer you up.

Maybe the bastirts who stole your baby will slip under a bus this Christmas.

just got too lax and lazy so now its cost me and didnt bother as when i have two bikes in the past i have always had them both locked up!

i failed on securing them in the best way

the truth i would actually be more gutted if the old R1 was stolen despite its value being only £2.5k

goes to show im never gonna be lax on security ever again and to be more careful when i give out my address to people who call up to see the bike as it was advertised on gumtree and i got a call from some guy at 14:18 and i actually believe that that person was the part of the gang of theives who took the as there had to be at least 3 of them.

They stole the R1, my 3 tool boxes, my paddock stand, my standard exhausts with the baffles removed for that R1, they even stole my masking tape

rode around looking last night to see if they had parked it up to test if it had a tracker

yeah the garage doors are shit and the metal the door is made of is shit but i thought by have door bolts which go into the ground would help reinforce it.....wrong!

i could have done better to secure it but i didnt so it got stolen with more ease than they should have had but cant keep kicking myself over it.
its done just gotta move on and when all is repaired just do my best to keep it secure when i get a new garage door off the council

there is nothing i can do to stop them from coming back if they do and i catch them ill end up on BBC news

LOL. Internet warrior vs South London gang. I wonder what would happen... Thinking

Sorry to hear about your bike but it was a bit careless on your part. En block garages really are easy pickings.

Someone would get their karma kicked in and trolled to fuck. And possibly be held down and provide 'A Service' to the In-line Community.

only real things that were distinctive about the bike is that the frame and swing are covered with carbon fibre and white motographix number board on the front and rear but these will most likely have been ripped off but the carbon fibre on the frame and swing arm would be very messy to take off leaving glue residue everywhere as when i tried to take it off i failed and just glued it back on
