I know this is a strange question but i currently keep my dt125r in my living room as there is no way to get to my back garden from the front and my area is known for theiving scrotes. Anyway i have my Mod2 soon and if i pass i'm going to upgrade to a much bigger bike. I was thinking of a drz400sm just because the size is similar to my DT and i won't have problems bringing it into the house however i would much prefer a 600 such as a hornet, fazer or thundercat. Will i have any issues moving the bike in and out of my house?

Find out the dimensions of the bikes you're interested in and compare.

I get my Fazer through a standard width side gate (bought last year from B&Q), so if your front door is that width it should go in.
Handily the Fazer mirrors fold in easily and the foot pegs are spring loaded so you can push them up in a tight space.

Wide bars will be the hardest part on the DRZ.

Pretty sure Irn_Bru used to park both his DRZ and his KTM690 in the house.

Is the drz similar size to the dtr?

Also i looked on google and if i got the correct info the dt is nearly 100mm wider then most 600's, so in theory if this is correct then i will have a easier time getting in a sports bike?

Most sports bikes have slanted bars (clips on's? not sure if thats right?) so they should be much easier to fit though a door.

I know my CB was wider than my NSR/CBR as the bars were straight on the CB so couldn't fit in in the house. NSR and CBR used to live in the front passage though.

Could get my old hornet through the side door of the garage ok if I needed to. Think it's smaller than your average front door too.
