i sold my van in june, sent off v5 same day.

didn't get acknowledgement, and in spite of that english judge ruling that you don't have to chase it up, i did anyway, wrote a letter.

still nothing.

get "LAST CHANCE" tax letter. so i called. guy on phone says "ok sir, i've update the record and you are no longer the registered keeper. but please send the slip back anyway to confirm this." ...so i posted the slip that came with the letter signed and dated with the date i sold the van on it.

now today, i have a letter saying i have an £80 fine.

they can get FUCKED if they think i am giving them a penny of my money for their incompetence!

what do bcf??

Yes, ignore it. I got told that the "Continuous registration enforcement division" would be in contact with me about punishing me for not SORNing my bike for September. They were right, I didn't SORN nor did I insure it for September because I was still trying to pass my tests. I ignored the warning and as of today have heard nothing since. Hey, I can't be at fault - they said they'd contact me Laughing
