I did the other day.......and was shocked to notice my grandfather rights on 7.5 ton and towing had disappeared, (I did check my m/b entitlement when it came back as I'd heard of that disappearing)

I've called DVLA who agree that consistent with the date I passed my test I should have these categories, they must have disappeared when I renewed my photo card
Now if I had taken an additional test for these categories I would be having to prove I passed them.

Isn't the general rule on this to say you lost it when applying for a change.. you can then magically find it later if it's not right or categories are missing.

I tend to get certified copies done. Fiver from any legal secretary. Not sure any old photocopy would be the "proof" required in an all-too-common DVLA category leak.
