Hey,
Was laid in bed last night when we heard a commotion outside. 2 scotes where been placed (Thrown) into a police van. Thought nothing more of it and went to sleep.

Woke up this morning to a line of 13 cars (One of which was mine) all with smashed wing mirrors Evil or Very Mad Seems they'd got drunk or high and thought it was a good idea to damage cars.

I don't want to claim on my insurance as a wing mirror is 20 quid for my Corsa however out of principle i'd like it if the money came from the 2 bastards who damaged my car. Is there anyway to make a claim against them?

Sad thing is i'm guessing i'll be able to get nothing. The 2 f*ckers who damaged the cars will get a slap on the wrist and be free to do it again. Also once again the working man gets shafted while the low life scum get an easy ride.

Cheers,
Shaun R.

Well, if the police know who it was you can report it... just keep chasing them.

Make a complaint, it will take a while but they'll be required to pay damages....or they may simply offer to pay if you don't press charges. Either way report it!

Hey,
I thought it would be fair if all 13 of us were placed in a room with said f*ckwits and be allowed to exact our revenge that way.

It got reported this morning and i have a crime reference number. If i did get any compo it would probably be at 50p a month because they have no money.

What annoys me most is that i have to pay 25 quid of my hard earned money for something i didn't even damage! I work bloody hard to run my car and keep a roof over my head. These f*ckers get it handed to them on a plate.

Sick to death of low life pond scum walking the streets like there Gods gift. They don't fear the police as they know they will get nothing. However if i was to catch one of the b*stards and chop his hand off i'd be the one in the wrong.

Sorry just fuming right now Evil or Very Mad

Cheers,
Shaun R.

Try to get a conditional caution from them.

Find them and burn them, only bits at a time - localized heat or something. Something slow.

Hey,
Can't afford to move or i would. A long long way away from the sh*thole that is Grimsby.

To be fair we have virtually no trouble just the odd incident.

Cheers,

I hear ya and I also feel your pain!!

Unfortunately, I don't think there's any (legal) way of forcing them to pay up so the only way is the laborious legal process and thus, I honestly think it'll cost you more than £25 to get the money out of them.

That said, I would replace the wingmirror and present the scumbags with the receipt - see what happens.

You should at least be entitled to their names and addresses if you say you wish to take out a private prosecution / small claims.

Use it to check their facebook, do they have pics of a car on there? Is it parked outside their house? Is Nitromors really a tenner from B&Q?

I'm sure there's an exemption for legal purposes such as consideration of a private legal case.

If it isn't proven to criminal standards it could still be proven in a civil case where the burden of proof is lower, there would still be a good case for handing the details of those arrested over IMO.

I really couldn't be arsed for a new wing mirror to be honest. Just give them a slap if you see them knocking around. (And don't get caught)

Hey,
Got a call from the police today to say they have no evidence the scrote broke it....So it must of fallen off of its own accord like the other 12 in the street Rolling Eyes

Out of the 13 (Reported to the police) he is only been charged for damaging 1 car as that's the only one they can prove he damaged.

Time to get CCTV i think.

Cheers,
Shaun R.

Just move to northern Ireland!

We might have the odd bit of recreational rioting, but on the plus side scrotes like that tend to get a punishment beating at best or their kneecaps removed Twisted Evil

Genuinely though we have quite a low petty crime rate for that reason, I can leave my bike unlocked, hell often with the key in it and it'll not get nicked.

This would be the same data protection act that prevents the DVLA flogging access to your details to anyone with the cash... oh wait...

Data protection is an excuse more often than not used incorrectly.
