Yup, I'm on shift till 19:00 tonight, then probably have to walk home cos the buses finish at 18:30 (and the bike is off the road)

....then back in again at 19:00 tomorrow and Boxing Day, ready for some 12 hour night shifts

I am working all through, I dont have to but if I don't work, I don't get paid. The Chinese do not celebrate Christmas so I will go in for a few hours just to make sure they are doing the right things, you can't leave them to their own devices.
Then on Friday morning a 3 hour flight home to the Philippines to spend a week with my family before coming back to Shanghai again.

Same here, if I don't book it off formally as holiday, which I couldn't really do anyway as everyone wanted the same days around christmas off, I don't get paid for it

I'd rather work and be paid than not anyway, christmas is shit tbh, it's for little kids, good if you've got them I guess but otherwise it's nice food and sleepy times
