I did the same, but with the lights on. In full daylight, so I didn't notice (bike is parked parallel to my window, and non-full beam isn't that bright). Less than two hours later, the battery was flat enough that the starter motor wouldn't engage.

I once did it at work, left the bike in the carpark, turned on for over 10 hours. Headlight was on so the battery drained. Luckily it was the 125 with the kickstart and started first time, didnt even try the leccy ignition. ____________________ CBT Passed: 25.05.11, Theory Passed: 12.07.11, MOD1 Passed: 01.04.12, MOD2 Passed: 20.07.12

I left my key in a couple of times overnight but always with the ignition off because that's how I turn off the bike... |
I do, but thats because my alarm chirps 3 times 5 seconds after you turn off the ignition and its 125dB, so I turn it off via the kill switch, back it into the back yard, lock up the gate, then usually, get my alarm fob out and finger on the "lock" button, turn off ignition, pull the key and hit the button asap because 1 chirp is better than 3. ____________________ BCF's biggest cunt list: Cansa, Pits, Rob |

I'm lucky enough to live in a place where we haven't had to lock the doors once in the ten years I've been here. I haven't walked away leaving the keys in, but I do tend to be careless with security. No disklock, no steering lock, no anchor, nowt.
Gonna be tricky when I need to start locking up properly. ____________________ The Old Apprentice |

Wow... That's quite a procedure... James may would like you. |
Nah, doesn't take that long, takes longer to back it up into the back yard due to a narrow gate and a ramp down. You have to take it slow and steady due to the concrete steps 1ft to your right and if you come in at the wrong angle, down you go! ____________________ BCF's biggest cunt list: Cansa, Pits, Rob |
