(biking wise)

Quite a low mileage year for me as no commuting and my hobby time has been split with mountain biking.

2500 miles ish.
Couple of trackdays early in the year.
A lowside at one trackday which caused minor damage.
Silversone Moto GP
Snetterton BSB
Copdock classic bike show
NEC bikeshow
And finally took my bike to an auto electrician to get the annoying intermittent indicator fault fixed.

No big plans for 2013 but I might buy a new bike at some point, I've had this little 400 for over 6 years now. I only planned to keep it for a year or so. Smile

I've clocked up 20,800ish commuting miles this year, mix of GSXR750, XJ600, Ducati Monster, Thundercat, TTR600, CB400 Super Four, CBR600RR, Vara 125 and Bandit 600.

Laughing I've ridden a few this year which is quite nice.

Not really done much else apart from the BBQ's and stuff Thumbs Up

Did CBT, bought a 125, did tests, bought a 675.
(and made the mistake of joining BCF)

2013 should bring one or two mini tours, possibly Wales. Thumbs Up

This was my first full year riding. I did about 5,700 miles in total, across four bikes (including the scooter I had until March).

The main accomplishment was getting my full license. Nothing else mattered, really.

The main bike-related thing I want to do in 2013 is at least one weekend road trip with the better half, possibly to the Lakes District or somewhere similar.

I also have a goal of getting some kind of training about every six months or so for the first three years, so looking at BikeSafe around the end of February/beginning of March and starting IAM (or similar) later in the year.

Edited: Oops, I'm already referring to 2013 as "this year"

Bought my third (Daytona) and nearly put 6k on it
Got turned away from Mallory for being too loud
Had a great time at Pembrey
Commuted a lot
Introduced the missus to bikes
Went to a few meets
Went on quite a few jollies to Aberystwyth etc

Got an itch in June, recieved some mild relief after doing CBT. recieved further relief riding a YBR on L plates, then full relief in October when I passed my tests on an ER6n and bought a bandit 600.

Not a huge amount of miles, maybe 1k but plan on many more next year.

Sold gixxer 750 and bought a Street Triple, did about 5000 miles on it.
Rebuilt YPVS with Banshee spec crank, forged pistons and home tuned barrels.
Stripped TZ down completely, currently undergoing chassis and motor renovation.
Did 2 track days, went to watch various race meetings, the best being the classic racing club at Donnington in August with the Classic Yamaha race team there.
Rode several different bikes. Most pointless - crossplane R1 Yam, most suprising - Suzuki GSX 1400, thought I'd hate it but didn't. Worst handling - Kwak Z750, most fun - 350 LC Yam.
Only got caught out once in the rain despite the shit summer.
Finally a year where I didn't fall off any bike, anywhere. Can't remember the last time that happened! All in all pretty good.

Bought a bike (Hyosung) last January and rode it from Preston to Ipswich on the coldest day in the history of this planet.

Got the ZX6r back on the road and have only had a couple of trips so far Sad

Went to Scotishland twice in the summer on the Hyosung.
Approx 1500 each trip Smile , brilliant roads and in places, soooo little traffic Smile .
By the way did I mention how much it RAINED Evil or Very Mad .

Went to a few evening bike meets Thumbs Up .
Went to the Copdock Bike Show Thumbs Up .

Bought two Jawas as a winter project Doh! , what an idiot Doh! .

Now I`m sitting here with cabin-fever as it`s pissing down outside and it would be rude to go out when the family are here.
I may just have to kill someone Shocked Laughing .

...made it 5 miles before being whipped into submission by Tropical Storm Leslie, came home, flounced. Crying or Very sad

Absent that week in March, and another in May, that was not a great year for pleasure riding.

Bought crappy Lifan scooter after my CBT in Jan - Fell off twice

Swapped that for a Suzuki B120 1976 118cc bike in May/June

Swapped that after problems to having no bike in June

Promptly got a Suzuki EN 125 (BIGGEST mistake) - fell off once (major crash)

Passed module 1 in August

Sold that and got a Honda CG 125 in September

Passed my module 2 October 24th

Bought a Honda Hornet in December

Done well over 15,000 miles

Quiet year for me mileage wise, think i clocked up roughly 5,000 miles in total.

Went to the BMF p'boro show (may and sept).

Finally got my arse into gear and retook CBT in August (ran out in 2007!), took theory passed first time then passed MOD1 and MOD2 first time within two days of each other with no training at all.

Bought a brand new CBR6f a couple of weeks later, finally (reluctantly) sold the 45,000 mile CBR125 which i swore i would never sell.

Went to Copdock bike show.

Biggest biking let down was going to the Ace Cafe one night just for the sake of it. Turned out it was "bike night" but it was dead in there. Probably just too pissed off to enjoy it as i wasnt used to the London traffic.

Next year im hoping to get to a couple of BSB rounds, do the Cat And Fiddle run and a couple forum meets.
