that was a petty dig at Krad alpha, we can all sit back and thrwo money at these people but unless their mentality changes we are wasting our time. as heartless as it seems i can now see a starving african child and think they are better off dead.

true FP, Ive stopped giving money to any of the charities abroad, Its not that Im uncaring but Id rather nip into a cafe and buy a coffee and sandwich to give to a homeless person on our streets, i wont give money as It encourages whatever drug and alcohol issues they may have, its just weeding out the genuine ones thats the problem nowadays.

Let's be honest, after however many years of giving however many billions to african countries, they seem to be getting worse... Even when you directly ship them food, some local gangsters will sit on it and sell it out at high prices to local starving folks.

When are we going to realise that handouts, aren't the way forward.

I agree, when a population is above the natural carrying capacity of the land, it is natural for a population to starve and decline until it reaches a sustainable equilibrium. By propping up starving people with food aid, it simply exacerbates the problem, especially considering high fertility rates. You save two lives now, then have another 20 mouths to feed in 20 years time....

not always hetz, having lived abroad and travelled extensively, I have seen too much shit to believe your comment Africa hs shown no signs of improving for at least 40 years that I can remember, same with the arabs in Saudi, there have been significant improvements in education and knowlege since Victorian times , I cant think how education and knowlege have helped Africa.
