Has anyone been out today? Just been for a long blast, a little chilly.

Unfortunately, saw a biker crash today in Portsmouth (just outside). I stopped and did all I could, but can't praise the ambulance staff enough.

So if you're reading this, hope you make a full recovery.

P.s. I pointed him to the website, so hopefully he'll join up if not already a member.

Throttle cable snapped so got wait till the 7th (when the shops are open) before I can take another ride.

Really annoying as we have had sun here with a nice cool breeze today.

Went out for an hour and a bit. Would have loved to go out sooner but you know, needed a bit of recovery time from last night. Really nice day though and the roads were good.

Just got back from a roughly 2 hour blast from Southampton to Winchester to Stockbridge and back via lots of little back roads. It was mostly dry so I FINALLY got the opportunity to get used to my mate's ZX6R-J2 that I'm looking after and either selling or buying off him in the spring. They really are bloody quick bikes and it is in very good nick but I'm not sure I can justify having it and the TRX... Crying or Very sad

Alternatively I could just do a Paddy...

I've ridden a little today - It was the dry roads then pulled me out this afternoon. Didn't want to push my luck though as my bike isn't charging and the battery would've died at some point. Still was fun while it lasted.

Did a 120 mile round trip to go get the photo challenge pic in Weymouth.
Stopped on route to help a biker with a puncture, plugged it and used air cartridge to put enough in to get him on his way.

Wet roads and bright sun = shiny shiny.

Was nice once it clouded over a bit and I could actually see where the road went.

Yup. Been out and blown the cobwebs away. Smile

That 'Cat and Fiddle' road is certainly 'educational' when it's wet. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I went out for an unexpected ride today, got a text from a mate I hadn't heard from for a few months.
Turns out he's bought himself a nice 52 plate Hornet so I had go out to take a look, especially as he hadn't yet seen mine.
Naturally I had to fit my nice iridium blue visor for the day. Cool

You were there today Nick?

What time? When I was there at 12 you couldn't see 20m in front of you the fog was that thick.

Yep, popped out on the 1250 today and had a wobble around following the other half on her 125. Had a few blatty bits but generally quite relaxed, it's still quite slippy out, and an awkward mix of wet/dry/damp along with being a bit cold.

Still, glad to have had a ride.

I got out today too, first time i've been able to take bike out properly since the seat/tail swap, just a short ride, portsmouth out to clanfield, loomies, alton, basingstoke etc - roads were lovely apart from the blinding low sun on the way back!
Annoyingly the bike has developed a nasty habit of shaking its head when hard on the gas but new rear shock should sort that as the stock one just isnt cutting it anymore, its literally doing nothing. Still, made for a fun ride! Smile
