I RODE!!!

Since the off way back in July my shoulder has been too painful to ride, especially when braking.I have done 2 short blasts but both under a mile and the second I nearly had to get a mate to ride the bike back for me.
The physio told me I would lose around 50% of the movement in my arm and doubted I would be able to ride again. I was then discharged after 3 physio sessions and told that was as good as it could get. Fuck that.
So for the past 2 months I have been doing my own physio routine and promised myself I would be ready by new years day. The TL has been fixed (and improved) for quite some time now and has just been sat in my hallway.
Today has arrived and time to christen my new jacket and gopro.
Only a short 60 mile blat but fuck me sideways it was fun.
I have missed this so much!

Just a couple of boring photos to prove I did it, im achey now but boy I feel alive.

BRING ON THE SUMMER!!

Not really fella, roads like that I'd happily take at 100 in those conditions. Hit a roundabout and it was like that, got some kneedown action and held her for a good 2 seconds before the rear battleaxe tyre gave out. Laughing

(rainy kneedown can only be achieved with uber expensive tyres and racetrack tarmac I'm sure) Laughing Laughing

Congratulations on getting back to it. I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike too, although I am bit worried about it - seems like you're ok with it though and having fun Very Happy

Nice pics...

Uh huh... because obviously damp and greasy roads are a great surface to lean a bike over... Rolling Eyes

Or I need to man the fuck up and actually lean it over more, I just have very little confidence with the tyres in the rain, even though they've never actually given me a problem (Yea.. I've never actually had a rear end slide and stayed on the seat)

Yeah, cool, you keep pushing that shoulder and it'll get better bit by bit I'm sure. My Dad was told he would never drive a manual car again when he lost half his left leg. He trained to be a mechanic and opened his own garage, still going now Thumbs Up My cousin nearly cut his entire right arm off with a chainsaw and was told he would probably never get the feeling back in it. A few months later he was back up trees with his chainsaw in hand. I swear they tell you this stuff sometimes just so you get the attitude of "Oh yeah, well I'll show you!"..... and it bloody well works Wink

had a dirty visor and i swear down it looked dry from the angle I hit it. (was 1am so very dark) From the otherside I could see it was completely wet.

You'd be surprised how much you can lean it in the wet. Totally depends what tyres you run though, battleaxe seem to be good, and contimotion, but i bet there's even better tyres out there for the rain.

How do you mean rear end slide? Mine can come out a fair bit, but aslong as you aren't trying kneedown you can pretty much always recover it without too much hassle (within reason).

Better to just counter steer the bike in the rain. Means if it does go, much easier to regain control.

Nice one.

As an aside that road surface looks mighty shit. Confused Whereabouts are you riding there?

Back let go then caught, launched me off the seat, my confidence in the back has been hit since, but I've only ever had one real incident, I try my hardest to keep both wheels travelling in the right direction and full traction Razz
