god this is tough. Genuinely racking by brains for what the original post is about.

hmmmm. M.

Is it a part beginning with M? Or was it supposed to be titled 'My xxxxxxx etc etc etc'?

Hmmmm.

What parts do scooters have that people need to check but aren't sure about?

Note that he said 'them' and not 'it'. So it's gonna be something that comes in multiple values, or is talked about in a plural way.

Hmmmm. ok.

Tyre pressures. Check this by looking in the manual or finding relevant data online. Tyre inflation machine thingy at petrol station will tell you what your current pressures are so you can inflate them correctly. If tyres totally flat, you're best getting one of those foot pump things from ebay for a fiver, as they have a little pressure gauge, and then you can do it from home whenever you like.

Lights? Just Stick new bulbs in.

Hmmm. What else is talked about as 'them' on a scooter or bike? Valve clearances......??? Owners' manual, feeler gauge (maybe a fiver from any general hardware/auto shop), and relevant information about the required valve clearances will be in the manual or probably somewhere online. Dunno much about scooter engines (are they even remotely similar to motorbikes??) but valves are at the top, revealed by removing the circular or square covers, usually about an inch and a half in diameter. Check by sliding feeler gauge between the tiny gap. It should be difficult because the gap is about 0.1mm, if I remember correctly??? Instructions will help.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Fuck knows what else.

Something to do with riding gear? Gloves, boots, clothes? Checking they're waterproof? Laughing

Is Sherlock Holmes a member of BCF?

Worth a try Sa1988 but I think you failed. The OP stated that he did not know where they were. I would be worried by someone posting that they did not know where their tyres or lights were.

Then again......

Maybe brakes? (Or in 'ped terms breaks.)

i think the OP needs to check where the 'Post reply' button is rather than the 'New topic' one.

Thought he might have meant he didn't know the the tyre pressures were, as in where to look for the info.

Anyway, all good, he made his new topic.

Just gonna have to live till I die without knowing the meaning of 'M'. Thinking

I'm guessing it was supposed to be a reply to my previous post.
Best thing to do is take the bike to a workshop and have it checked by someone competent Wink
