I like firetrap stuff, me. I've been wondering about their new website and why they haven't got a sale on. Turns out Mike Ashley has bought the label and Full Circle. There's loads of Firetrap stuff for sale on sportsdirect at daft prices, jeans of all sizes £20, T-shirts £7, nice chunky cardigans that were up for £120 for £40, all stuff that was produced before the buy out.

I would have thought the new stock is going to be very cheap, generic stuff with firetrap branding and go the way of the chav and then to extinction.

It already was chav. Chavness is not proportional to wealth.

Behave. I've got some quality FireTrap gear. Thumbs Up

Oh, and actually it is. Every brand that true chavs regard as 'bling, innit brah' costs a fortune in proper shops.

Ever seen how much a Fred Perry golf top costs in a classy store, for what it is? Shocked

Never heard of it.

Quick googling would suggest it is skinny jeans and overpriced polyester.

If you know what label is on your clothes, you might as well be wearing assless chaps.

I wouldn't be seen dead in chavvy firetrap. Brands are for people of questionable sexual preference.

I tend to buy a handful of decent t shirts and mix n match from primark and decent quality branded gear in the sales. If I have branded gear I don't have it emblazened across my thigh or chest.

I mean, who actually walks down the street thinking 'hey I feel good today and people are looking at me and thinking wow look at that guy, because I'm wearing my firetrap clothing'

really?

You guys shop? Laughing

I'm still wearing the same shirts/jeans I was wearing around 4 years ago. The leather jacket 5 or 6 years.

Shirts are a little tatty now, but this is England, it's rarely too hot to wear a jacket.

This thread is full of people trying desperately hard to look cool by saying they don't like brands.

You don't look cool.

I am one of those people, but it has nothing to do with being cool. More just function over form.

I have no problem wearing designer clothes. I have a tshirt that says "mckenzie" across it and I wear it. I got it as a hand me down from a pal because I have no shame when it comes to the 8 year old t shirts with holes in them.

Am I cool?

The beans stains on the t shirts I walk about in wouldn't say so.

Zip it, brand whore.

The very concept of "designer" clothing makes me puke.

So where can I buy *quality* polo shirts then that aren't cheap crap (á la primark) but don't have a little horse, red and white motif or H on them?

I can't afford brand names, I'm also uncool.

Divide by zero should be my name.

It's not that I dislike brands, it's more that I am cheap.

I've actually found that regular dossing about clothes from Primark last better than expensive designer stuff I've bought.

The best place I'd suggest would be either a workwear shop or Debenhams. I get t shirts from Debenhams when they have a sale on.

The other option is "charity" shops. i get all the stuff I wear in the garage from the local charity shops and bin them once they're covered in oil.

Funny how people dribble over 8k of motorbike when 2k will do, or get gooey eyed when someone does up an old shit box and makes a thread about it yet when it comes to a £40 shirt people get all superior... have a word with yourselves Laughing
