Have done Lairg to Ullapool and can imagine it getting even better going up north to Durness, might have to pop up there this year. Thumbs Up

Have to say it doesn't look that great on a map, in comparison with others in Switzerland. Sustenpass was my favourite out of the trio of grimsel and furka though. Cool

"Route de Grande Alpes, France" is a bit cheating really, isn't it? Very Happy

Also can you not choose a 'dream road' out of all that, I'm sure some are certainly better than others..

I got bored - I guess it'd be the Col du Bonnette for the spectacular view at the top Cool The Col du L'Iseron is also pretty spectacular, but with very rugged scenery.

The Fluella (and Ofen) pass has open, sweeping hairpins, so is much nicer to ride than a lot of the tight passes e.g. Umbrail, Stelvio. I did like the Susten/Grimsel/Furka passes, just not as much as the Fluella.

Good road, From Rye to Camber or Camber towards New Romney?

Don't know if I would call it a favourite as I've only ridden it once but it did leave me with a big smile. Road from Zupanja in Northern Croatia to Sarajevo. Not mega spectacular passes but great scenery, great surface and the last 50 or so miles has got to be the best bit of motorway anywhere - super fast and super twisty and Sarajevo is a great destination at the end of it - highly recommended. Here's a good one, but since I go on it almost every time I use the bike, the novelty wore off.

Haven't seen many roads, but this was memorable:

It's a screenshot of a route. Picasa doesn't seem to play with img tags on here for some reason.

https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/BeAiq-sxuElK8mtha_vtVdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0

Start Manor Inn, Godalming, GU7 3BX (large car park and pub garden backs on to a Canal)
A3100 to Milford
A286 to Lavant via Brook, Grayswood, Haslemere, Fernhurst, Midhurst, Cocking (sniggering allowed), Singleton, West Dean.
Salthill Road to A259
To Appledram Lane
To Dell Quay Road
To Crown and Anchor Dell Quay Chichester
PO20 7EE

On a nice day, looks like this

Dell Quay Road to A286
A27 to A285
A285 to Petworth
A283 to Milford
A3100 to Manor Inn

Using the A286 and A285 means crossing the South Downs twice, looping round Goodwood, some nice scenic moments and not quite as biker congested (or Police) like the A272.

EDIT: Total distance is about 75 miles
