Looking for some advice about motorcycle gear.Do I need to add anything else to what I got so far which consists of the following ?

Full face helmet
Textile jacket+trousers both with CE armour
Armoured textile gloves
Army boots

In your opinion are things like neck/back/chest protectors worth it ?

Are steel toe cap boots deferentially a no no ?

gloves? Laughing

I used to wear steel toe caps but that was because I worked in a garage anyway and I couldnt be bothered swapping to boots. I think the difference would be minimal in an off and I prefer being able to feel the gear lever through the boot also

I'd get some boots I got some cheap waterproof ones for winter from ebay for 36 quid can't go wrong , worn riggers before when riding but just found it to uncomfortable compared to actual bike boots

I'm a fan of textile jackets/leather trousers myself, but either way I'd certainly suggest tapping up ebay for everything but the lid if you're on a budget.

Personally I prefer leather gloves over textile ones.

Not essential, but good to have is a neck tube/ balaclava/ snood type thing, whichever floats yer boat, or helps to keep your head warm Smile

I use a wool or yeti fleece neck tube personally.

Base layers/thermals (ladies tights if you're desperate) all help with comfort too.

They are when you crash, I guess Laughing Any decent well fitting armour is going to help protect you against serious injury but there's a balance and compromise between price, convenience and budget when it comes to kit. If you're on a budget I think I'd rather invest more in the things you've already mentioned than additional items, TBH.

Its kind of up to you and how much stuff you are prepared to have knocking about. I have textile trousers and textile jacket, the trousers I only wear in extremely cold weather. I usually wear the textile jacket with leather jeans.

I too, wear regular boots with laces...(just saying it to give the safety nazi's a hernia Shocked) Wink

Helmet and leather gloves.

I also have a couple of base layers, long johns, waterproof socks, and a neck tube as 'kit' too. Thumbs Up

You can get a CE level 2 back protector for about £20. You tell me.

Totally, this one time this one guy's uncle who was in the SAS said he'd seen them chop of this other guy's toes. Also, you won't get pregnant if you do it standing up.
