does anyone know if the oil filter housing cover has a gasket on it or should? i have a slight leak but cant find any gaskets online. the bolts are tight but its seeping out which gives me the impression it should have a gasket

i need a gasket to fit the second link (cover) if they do one. to me it seems a bit to big

Yes the oil filter cover has a gasket around it.

It's the one you linked to, and looks like this when inserted:

Quite easy to not install properly. I apply a thin layer of oil over the top of the gasket after installing it in to the cover so that it doesn't fall out whilst putting the filter back on the bike.

You can get an oil filter and gaskets cheaper than that eBay link though (probably the same price with postage):
