Whats the best sit up and beg/naked type bike that has similar performance to a 1000cc sports bike engine

if my old school R1 gets nicked i wont be getting another one untill i move out of london and would rather get get one these.

well what i means is do sit up bikes like bandit 1200 and yamaha fazer 1000 have similar torque and like 1000cc sports bike?

i have no idea or knowledge about these kind of bikes as ive only ever researched and gained knowledge on sports bikes but current cirumstances may change what bike i have to practically use.

by the way i have no idea why they are called sit up and beg bikes it was an expression i heard my mate use for them so it kinda stuck with me

Bandits and Fazers are NOT "Sit up and beg" bikes.

Means sitting up straight with high'ish handlebars. Not all naked bikes have that positioning. Extreme example, Cafe Racer's are usually naked, and are rarely sit up and beg. Smile

The CB is quite upright but yeah, I wouldn't really say I'm 'sitting up' when I ride it. My back is arched and I'm 5ft11.

I always thought the adventure type bikes were 'sit up and beg'

The speed triple seems to have alot of power for a naked.

Aprilia Tuono would closely fit the bill.

Not sure if you have ever seen a youtube bloke called RoadcraftNottingham. He had a Fazer Thou and then upgraded to a Tuono.

His words at 3"30' ish:

f-king hell..... Jesus Christ..... That makes my fazer look like a Moped

Quality bike IMHO Thumbs Up

Too quiet?! I heard one start up and I thought I'd angered the gods! And that sounds very nice! Bet the video doesn't do it any justice though!

Tuono is Italian for Thunder, quite fitting.

Leo Vince are regarded as being louder than Akra's. Or stick something like a Mivv GP on and it gets stupidly loud.

The sound is utterly addictive. So is the affect it has on cars whilst filtering. It's like moses parting the Red Sea Laughing

You're planning what to get if your bike gets nicked?
That's certainly forward thinking.

Be a while before I have anything like that anyway Wink

I described myself as moses with the loud-ish exhaust I had on my old cbr125 Laughing

All this exhaust talk just makes me wanna spend money I dont have on something loud for the bandit, it's stock can is just too meh Sad
