Goddamn it!
I cant decide what bike to have next!
Kwak ZXR250 or 400??
They both look the dogs but the 250 is smaller and i like that.
The 400 goes better(obviously) but the insurance is higher.
The 250 is dead rare as well, a bit like rocking horse shit!
Whadda you folks reckon? ____________________ BCF: Be yourself, just don't be an arse. |

I would personally go for the 250, but then again. I haven't been riding long so I don't really much of a desire to ride bigger bikes...yet...
It's certainly smaller than the 400, but it's still firkin' big for 250!...it weighs at least 15kgs more than the CBR/NSR/RS (that's Aprilia RS)...but it's a 4 stroker, so it'll sound a lot nicer...
Also, there's issue about availability and parts etc...it's not actually that hard to find import parts, but it'll ultimately cost ya...and do you know a dealer that has them? 'cos I might be interested too...

You won't get significantly better performance from a 4st 250 compared to a derestricted 125... IMO go with the 400 the engine will keep you entertained for a bit longer ... though I've kinda got 'bored' of the acceleration on my ZX6r now |

all you have to do is ask yourself these simple questions...
1. Can you afford a 400?
2. Can you afford the insurance on a 400?
if you answered yes to both then get the 400, if either were no then get the 250...
i would buy the 400, its soooo much more fun ____________________ -Zimma |

Hey G, whatdya mean you got bored of the zx6r acceleration? I cant imagine that happening to me, but then again id be lying if i said that i had maxed it out in every gear, shit! i got me a little anxious at 120mph, well enough to make me back off anyway, but then again im paranoid about losing my license! I could say that the only critisism of my bike is that its a little buzzy and revvy, and to go really fast, you cant be too lazy with the gearbox, as it has most of the mental power above 9000rpm. But thats the only downside of a 600 sports bike. Id sure welcome a little more power at the bottom end and in the midrange, but when it gets going its much too fast enough for me anyway!
p.s. When i do change bikes in maybe 2-3years time then i could see myself on a torquey V twin monster, such as a yellow Aprilia RSVR, but i need to get a bit more skill and confidence before im ready for that! :o |
