Hi,

I just bought a Bandit 600, 2004.

Runs like a dream.. aftermarket can & it sounds incredible.

Only issue is that the exhaust blows a bit, from where the collector box clamps onto the cans pipe. The part next to the gearbox etc, at the bottom of the bike.

I took it apart hoping I would just reseat it along with the material sealing it & that would fix the issue.

It made it worse.. I need to order some new sealant wrap or whatever this stuff is called. I have attached a photograph of it.

I need to know what this is? I might be able to use Gum gum etc but I feel the gap / sizes of the two pipes is too large for a soft putty.

This wrap stuff is like braded with wire wool & looks like carbon. Weird stuff.

What is it? Question Question

Thanks guys!

Josh

Suzuki Part number 14771-27E00

You can make a gasket using wire wool and exhaust putty.
