I was going to post this in workshop but I guess it fits in either really, might require someone with a bit of technical knowledge but maybe not...

Basically, Mr Yaigi and I both have Fazers. His an R reg, mine a V. He's had his for 5/6 years, I got mine about a month ago. We were washing them yesterday and we noticed something - when you turn the bars, mine get a fair bit closer to the tank than on his. You can just about fit your hand between the tank and the bars on mine at full lock, but with his you could probably squeeze two hands on top of each other between the bars and the tank.

Is there any reason there would be such a difference between the two bikes!? Neither have had any modifications... we're really confused as to what would cause the difference.

Has someone not just had the bars off one/both of them and put them back differently?

Yeah, bars could have been rotated back/forward on either bike.

When I had an an off (on my Fazer) the bars took a lot of the impact and got shunted to the side slightly and also forward. When I rode it home I had to reach further forward. It's likely a similar movement has happened to his.

Ahhh ok, yeah, neither of us thought that the bars could have just been tilted a bit forward/back Doh! They say two heads are better than one but obviously not in this case Laughing His was a Cat C write-off when he got it so I would say that's entirely possible that the bars have been put back on a bit different.

Ok, nothing to worry about then, that's good to know, thanks guys Thumbs Up
