It's one of the main reasons I ride
Everything else becomes a blur when your riding, you have to concentrate on the ride and nothing else. Making it just you and the bike
Reality kicks back in around about the same time the keys come out of the ignition |

I've often used the bike as a way to clear my head. I like that there's no distractions, no clock ticking away or any way for people to immediately contact you, no way for you to constantly be checking emails or whatever and you're forced to focus entirely on what you're doing. Very therapeutic. ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N

Ride as far as you like, when you arrive you'll still be a ginger.

HTH.
On topic, yes, sometimes I have a lunchtime run just to recalibrate my Does It Really Matter Meter. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Personally I used to love just getting on the bike at night and riding around it was fun and very relaxing as the roads are clear, however now I find it hard to just go out as I don't really have a reason to ride. Also believe I'd be better with a bigger bike one that isn't being forced on every gear to get the power. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

It's one of my favourite parts of motorcycling - the complete focus on what you're doing, and (often more worrying) trying to guess what other's are doing.
I love my CG - yes, if you wanna go at dual carriageway speeds you have to rag it, but 40-50 mph through nice clear, sweeping country roads is some of the best fun I've ever had - even 20mph round single lane, almost country tracks.
You don't need an excuse to go out - I used to just go on adventures (the fact that those adventures allowed me to smoke is neither here nor there ) and investigate the places round my way that I used to go as a kid, or just pick a place on the map and go and see whats up there. Hell of a lot of fun.
Just remember, when the lid drops the bullshit drops.
And when you get back and the keys come out of the ignition, if it's been a good ride you'll still buzz for a little while anyway.
Remember if you're angry to take a couple of moments to breathe before you leave! ____________________ CG125-K1 (1978) - 35 years old and (mostly) going strong! (Restored and rebuilt by my own fair hands).
