For the Second time, my Headphones have been nicked out of my Draw at work.

I want to rig a tiny camera up that can record to the PC over night/weekends to see who the thief is. Any suggestions?

Any reason you can just use a normal webcam? Is it going too be recording in the dark or most likely all in decent light?

Edited too add :

Reason I ask, looking for tablets / browsing PC world sale and saw this the other day - https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/logitech-c210-webcam-10725123-pdt.html?intcmpid=display~RR~Computing+Accessories~10725123 Bit of recording software, should be good enough?

Normal webcam would be a bit big, I want something more sneaky! it doesn't need to be a night camera it is pretty well lit.

Something like this?

Should be suitable for a office desk, you dont want to use anything like a hidden camera in a pen or USB stick encase that gets nicked or looks out of place. No one would steal a cheap digital clock.

Has motion detection which is useful for trapping someone stealing.

It's probably the cleaners or other minimum (or less) wage slave. Stop leaving stuff behind for them to nick and either lock it away securely or take it home.

What's to stop em nicking the CCTV camera?

The fact that they'll loose their job when I pull the footage off the PC. I don't want to have to work somewhere I have to worry about leaving barely valuable stuff on my desk.

As an aside I know the cleaners fairly well and don't think it is them the east block security guards on the other hand...

When you get the incriminating footage, don't forget to show it to the thief and do a deal, he pays you back for the items he stole and "it goes no further". Then show the footage to bosses anyway. Twisted Evil
