Hi all

Been having trouble with a neighbour who finds it funny to talk crap about me to anyone stupid enough to listen.

Things like "hes been up in his loft allot ,so hes probably growing stuff"(i was putting landlords furniture up there when we moved in)

this has now been going on for 2yrs now, and its decended into stupid little things (slander again) ive warned him time and time again..(in a very RESTRAINED way for me)

Ive had the police involved, ive had him pushing fence posts so they dont set in concrete very well. ALLOT!!(and the foundations are obscene and without help almost impossible to move)

but not impossible by wind etc(not likly)

hes the sort of guy that potters round his garden and takes sarcastic potshots at your gardening etc(used to be a landscape gardener so my garden is better than his )

and yestarday i went to take the bike out for a spin and found it was riding funny!..(the garage door is usually open 24./7 as we live in the back of knowwhere!!!LITTERALLY))

well i get to the shops after a hairy ride ,id checked the back wheel on the way ,but as i got the shopping stowed away i thought id check the front tyre!!

FLAT or almost..

funny thing is all the shots he had at me have backfired ,and its annoyed him but i thought this was alittle too childish ,so i get home and check for a leak and pumped it up.

as i bent down i noticed 3 finger marks in the dust on my sidewall next to the valve(which i have not touched since i last cleaned it to a shine)..

Funny thing is its fine now! and rode like a dream and so far NO air has left that wheel!

I know its abit of a coincidence but now im locking the door everynight, as he goes out walking his dog at 11/3/6 during the night and right past my house, and is known for creeping about peoples windows and houses..

what should i do as this is really starting to annoy me now, and the local cop doesnt seem to think its worth his effort even though i have evidence to his distain of me(slander etc)but nothing other than finger prints on my wheel!!

I cannot take him out with a good old tap! , hes 60odd ,but hes getting close to a knock!!
considering he comes over to me and admits his slandering and also makes funny statements about the fence post(he doesnt like anyway as they block his view of my garden)

"what you doing"
"just strengthening the foundations"
"yeah you wouldnt want the wind to push/knock them down eh"

and i know what he was on about, these post shouldnt move unless they are tampered with before the crete sets!..

I know it all sounds alittle paranoid but you would have to know him to see what hes like...

hes an idiot! and he hates that we live next to him as he had a run of the place and a key before we moved in, he thinks hes a real laird of the manor!!

but the bike is a step too far!and it has NEVER gone down before and hasnt since so its alittle odd and dangerous!

rant over just wanted to air my frustrations as i really dont need this ontop of my already shit life!

i think about putting a turd under his polished little runaround! and maybe some under the bonnet of his laird mobile(landrover disco)

I know i sound odd but he has no friends as they all hate him and his very opionated views of people, even the local cop has had him express his views(apprently the cops doesnt do any work)

not a good thing to say to a cop when you move into the village!!

its even been my cat too(i dont feed him )yeah right!!

I took an arm FULL of cat food round his house and said"just incase you dont think i feed my cat"

I found out this latest bullcrap from a friend..

His reply was "oh it doesnt matter"as he closed the door which my reply was"twat"

you really would have to know him to really hate him as everyone else does...

funny really as he must be bored

I'd piss in one of those small plastic tubs you get from the Chinese, fill it right up, freeze it, take it out the tub and post it through his letter box or leave them to melt on the door step a few times a month from now on. And tell the neighbors about how his house smells of piss.

Show him a sock.

Then show him a bar of soap.

Insert soap into sock.

Swing round head and bang it on his door.

Say "Fuck with me one more time and it won't be the door I'm swinging it at."

Titan, don't clean the cat's litterbox for a week, pour the cat's piss into the tub and freeze it. cat piss proper stinks! Laughing

which he now knows is there and funny the posts are solid now!!

coinicidence maybe!!

might be time for some fishing again and leave it stuffed in his bloody central heating vent outside!!(nice and warm)

None of this advice is helpful IMO. Threatening him is a very dangerous tactic. He'll have you right where he wants you. What you need to do is show up his lies for what they are, and you need to do it in front of him.

I'd suggest setting up a CCTV camera in your garage, if you think he has let your tyre down. Then, when you've got the footage, take it to the Police.

Or, set up a large screen TV outside your house, and have it playing on a loop so all your neighbors can see. Either way, don't threaten him directly, particularly not as blatantly as standing on his doorstep with a sock and a bar of soap!

I know you're angry about this, but threatening him will just get you arrested.

sounds like it's kind of beyond entertainment when he's letting down his bike tyre and damaging property.

Should have got the police in on those fingerprints on the tyre as that's pretty much attempted murder

You are letting a pillock like this get to you??????????

Do not try to justify yourself to him. If he makes a comment just agree with him ( sounds odd I know)

When you see him go out just say off the cuff things like, is it school finishing time already? Tell him to go to the shops and get you some bread. Tell him that it looks like something is wrong with his vehicle (oil leak, worn tyre, etc) doesn't have to be just say it.

Ask him about his funeral arrangements, or ask him why he is so scared of you. Tell him you are going to have a bikers BBQ in the summer(you don't need to have one) this will get him all at 6s and 7s.

Or just the simple "Morning" or "afternoon" and keep it at that, when he starts talking, just walk away or say "what ever". You need to take the wind out of his sails, make him feel the insignificant that he is.

Best of all SMILE.

My first thought was finger prints. Are they still there and visible? Could you pop into a police station and report it? Fingerprints and all? Not much would be done in this lone incident but building up a list of reported issues too the police might.

Simple...CCTV. Get the evidence you need, take it to the Police and they will have to take it further.

Nowt worse than shit neightbours you cant trust. If that dont work then move.

With CCTV you need one that records o to a hard drive 24/7 and has night vision...a decent set up can be had for about 3 or 4 hundred quid and if the problem sorts itself out then can either be left up as a deterrent or can be sold on ebay to recoup some of your money.

I would just be uber nice!

just compliment him on everything, agree with what he says with a massive smile and then laugh whatever he says off even if its insulting.

Just be really nice to him. That will do the job I reckon.

For instance:

''your cat is too skinny, dont you feed him?''

''actually I was thinking this myself thank you so much as now I can up his food dose, just needed that re-assurance''.

Then make a moonpig card with a pic of you and your cat on the front making a thumbs up saying thank you in it!

sorted

I think Skud's idea is the best so far. Others are funny, but I think Skud's is the only one that will actually work without going all crazy to each other for weeks/months getting one up on the other until one loses.

Plod won't lift a finger. The chap is, essentially, a bully, of the how-far-can-I-push-you sort. You can either be the victim, or you can set and enforce a boundary.

As you've found out, no witnesses, no evidence and no admission means that nothing happened.
