Hello,

Will hopefully be commuting on a bike soon but after any lessons I do my hair is a mess (cue the - woooooooooo from other people).

I know I am not a woman but I still don't want this funny helmet hair lol.

Any suggestions apart from cutting it all off?!

You'll get slated on here starting threads like this. The scruffy 'dont give a shit how I look' gang will be here shortly telling you to man up.

edit....they beat me to it Laughing

Personally speaking I tend to put my hair gel on before I go out...then when I get to work I head for the sink and just run a bit of water through my hair to get it styled. In my job, I cant be having a silly flat mess on my head all day....maybe if I was stuck in a factory all day I wouldnt be half as bothered.

When you have a job where it states clearly in the contract that you must be of smart appearance (including hair) at ALL times whilst representing the company then im afraid you generally wont last long taking your helmet off and looking like stig of the dump during your working day.

Whilst riding around at weekends etc I dont care so much. ..but like it or not...I have to sort my barnet out before I start work. No way round it other than to lose my job. But its no big deal....running a bit of water through my hair takes 30 seconds if that.

I think hair care should become part of the disciplines incorporated into all proper international six day enduro trials, personally. Never mind 15 minutes to tighten chain and check tyre pressure, get busy with the straighteners and gel.

If I had a job, I'm at university right now, I'd go by public transport or car. I mean, if you can earn enough money to keep alive a bike that needs fresh tires 2x per season and eats 6-8 liters of petrol, you can afford a car, some small 1.0L wannabe a car would do the job just fine.

OR Get a hairbrush/comb, that would stay in your locker, don't tell me there's no place where you could get ''your hair done'' at the work place, before the shift starts.
