Sitting here idle whilst the plasterer is in skimming the kitchen. New kitchen waiting to be fitted and old appliances tastefully decorating the garden

Wondering if I could lash a rope to the old oven and just drag it the 1mile to the local tip,

Anyone had the nerve to try anything similar?

Could? Yes.
Should? No.

It might sting when the cooker comes sliding into the back of you when you need to stop sharpish. Although I suppose the bits of human flesh stuck to it ought to cushion the impact (picked up when going around corners and skimming across pavements)

I've always wanted to make a trailer for a motorcycle like you know those trailers kids sit in on bicycles? Take one of those and modify it.
Something like this https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=724051&categoryId=165476&langId=-1

For the cooker leave it out side the gypos will have it

It all goes well until you try to turn a corner... Then you fall off.

These thoughts are the result of idle hands of course.

More fun waiting till 2am, then see how noisy it sounds or If it sparks a lot

If the appliances are in good nick and not gas, try calling the British Heart Foundation. They can send a man and van round to collect for free.

If not, the council might collect, but they'll probably charge...

This is true.
Left an old washing machine outside and next day was about to phone council to collect that and some other old furniture. Went round to count the number of items and found washer had been taken.

Reported to police over the phone as it might help others in the street but could just feel them shrugging their shoulders.

We've left appliances on the front and some people (presumingly gypsies) came and knocked and asked if they could have it (Politest gypsies ever!) and we said yes. It was always our intention to give it to them as we see them driving around looking for scrap metal all the time.

I thought you hung onto the outfit, but it fell off the road?

I towed the local kiddies round the cul-de-sac on their bikes and carts and such with my 125 and a bit of rope. Their dad suggested it, and I didn't want to say no, because he's a copper.

No brainer.

Dishwashers have castors on the back.
Washing machines have a delicate and 1/2 load setting.
Oven will prolly have a timer built in.
Set the washing machine to a Delicate 1/2 load.
Hoi it on top of the dishwasher (But sort of suspend the dishwasher from the rear of the car, possibly utilising the boot lock to tie your string to. Tow the stacked units to the recycle place.
The oven you can set to come on a bit later.

Sorted.
