Hey all. I'm looking on a Honda parts site for shoes for my front brake on my CG 125 and they have two, EBC and Pattern. Are these brands? If so, will the Patttern shoes do as they are about a third cheaper than the EBC ones.

Cheers

Can't really recommend any brake pads or which to go for however as I understand it they both mean as followed;

EBC : This means in most cases they are as good as or even better than original parts.

Pattern: These are unbranded copies of original parts.

If I had a choice when renewing my brake pads (most probably in a few months I'd go for EBC just for the security I know one member who screwed his bike because he didn't have good brakes Hahadumbarse.

Go on David silver spares. Honda branded ones are best and usually work out about the same. Both brakes shoes on my H100 are both genuine honda and are the best I have come across.

Ebc is a brand. They are good but I have always used pattern parts for brakes clutches etc with no issues atall I would always go with pattern parts to be honest

Have a look on eBay as well. You may have a wider choice. Some of the brands are meant to be good, some meant to be bad. Tbh, I wouldnt worry about it too much.

Thanks for all the replies. David Silver only have rear shoes for my model. I found some front EBC shoes on eBay for the same price as the pattern ones on Wemto so I am going to order those. Cheers.
