I totally support the right of citizens to own guns, but I don't like Alex Jones, he is a complete moron in most of his videos. He's great at throwing accusations around, and manipulating things, but is never willing to be subjected to scrutiny himself.

Exactly, Alex Jones is the worst enemy of his cause. People who see him are then likely to associate gun rights with people who are completely off their rocker like Alex Jones, rather than his quite valid point about guns helping to protect freedoms.

These guys did a good edition of Alex Jones.

They basically summed it all up with the phrase "Sheeple heed the megaphone!!". It's my mental image whenever AJ gets mentioned.

Don't know who Alex Jones is but he certainly seems incapable of rational discussion! He may fit well in to some of the posts on BCF! Wink

He cites the countries that took-away guns leaving USA and Switzerland as the last bastions of freedom. The recent shootings in the US were followed by one in Switzerland!

I can't see any justification for assault weapons for 'self-defence'. Chances are a home-owner using one of those will hit one of their own!

He never said the assault rifles were for self defence. They are for shooting agents of the state where the state is acting against the people. In reality, most AR15s are used for targets.

Bang on, the overwhelming majority of "assault weapons" (speech marks cos I don't take the phrase seriously) are just range toys.

They don't shoot up schools, they don't shoot cops. They just punch holes in bits of paper, in a rapid and expensive fashion.

used to listen to his radio shows time to time and thought he had some very valid points he raised
but that rant is comical sounds like he's trying to do a bad impersonation of Bill Hick's (who I do love listening to)

Alex you just made a c*** of yourself when you should have told him to go do one and leave it at that
