This was on Traffic Coppers before Christmas when I saw it but just noticed it on YouTube for anyone that didn't catch it.

I wasn't expecting this to happen at all, looked fairly routine until 2.30 seconds mark.

It must piss them off to an extent being on camera whilst doing your job, there'd probably have been a police brutality report and riots if it wasn't being filmed, imo had the other copper given him a few blows to the head whilst he was on the floor it would have been justified, can't be easy to restrain yourself when some dirty little scumbag lays your mate out.

Don't know but it'd be mighty embarrassing if he turned out to be clean after all that, you'd think given the power of the bike and the stash he may have had he'd have just fvcked off on the bike and dealt with the consequences after

Yep, were the pillion seat was from what I remember.

Can remember watching it and hating it, was horrible to watch, especially when you see people around filming it on their phones (I know BBC were filming it too, but you know what I mean).

all of that for some weed... chances are he wouldn't have even gone down for the weed!

Question is... if you were in that focus watching, would you help?

I'd be tempted, but then I'd think I'm in the way

Wow, it's an amazing reminder of how one person with a 'nothing to lose now' attitude can be so strong. The police (especially when being filmed) have always got something to lose (their job). The criminal may not have anything and will fight tooth and nail.

Reminds me of the time I had to call the police cos a guy was tripping his balls off and had begun smashing a friends house up. He took on 8 policemen whilst completely naked. Never have I seen strength like it. The police stuck him in a cell for the night and released him in the morning with no charges, so they can't be all that bad cos I'm sure they could have stuck something on him.

I wonder what the record is for amount of time someones held up a full on fist fight with the police?!

A full on fist fight with the police is never a good idea. It'll gain you nothing. For them however it will buy them time for their mates to turn up. So if you had to get away speed and accuracy would be ideal. e.g throat punch and then do a ussain bolt impression to a fence then go all parkour Laughing

If i'd seen that lot unfolding i'd have stayed out of the way. The guy is more likely to whack you than he is the police officer, he might drag you into traffic etc. The police might also think you were helping the guy escape rather than helping them. If you'd been involved in that given that the policeman got a whack in the head you'd have been taken down violently on the suspicion that you'd done it. You'd have received neither an apology nor thanks, and possibly have faced some nasty charges.

Videoing it on a mobile isn't always a twatish thing to do as it's all evidence, though i agree it's going to be shit all use when there's a BBC film crew there Laughing
