Never give up hope...the forecasters regularly get the weather wrong...it may not snow and the roads may be rideable.

Fingers crossed.

Was forecast chance of snow on Friday, nothing... later that evening it changed to just "foggy"... same happened for Today, last night it was forecast chance of snow and nothing... Razz

it's still forecast "chance of snow" for tonight and tomorrow though.. We shall see.

UK forecasts are only accurate to 2 degrees C over 48hrs 75% of the time so there's plenty of error feasible there.

In short, anything could happen yet.

Anyhow it's the sleet then ice after the snow that causes a problem, so even if it snows tomorrow and the council are prepared (which they say they are) then the roads might be ok on certain test routes. Don't give up!

What happened to positive mental attitude.

So now even if there is no snow and the test goes ahead, you won't be in the right frame of mind will you.

Good luck Karma

It has been forecast to snow here, but there is no sign of it. Assume your test is going ahead, keep yourself in the right headspace!

Good luck bud!

I'm in the same boat xcept my test is for the 25th and I'm checking for cancelations each day. I'm coming round to the idea that I should do the test on the 25th anyway, A because at least I'm rid of L plates and won't have to worry about CBT renewal and B its an opertunity to further get used to getting tested and reduce test nerves.

i've sort of resigned myself to saving up £500 to do a DAS course in the summer.

Did I say the forecast looks alright? Ye well f**k that it's chucking down with snow, so it's not looking promising for tomorrow. Good thing is I'm probably going to be able to get another test booked in before the 19th, so can do it that way; that is if the snow f**ks off this week some point Very Happy

Sorry about this Glove - but if the test is cancelled there is no chance of getting another in before 19th. Mine was cancelled today and the DSA haven't given me a new date - the system simply says it's on hold! Because of this I can't look for a cancellation or even book a new mod 1. I am in limbo because of their stupid system and that means I won't get in before the lockdown.
If I was you, if it seems the snow won't clear up where you are I would look right now for a mod 1 later in the week, forfeit the £15 and change it now because once the test centre officially cancel your test you will be helpless and hopeless like I am.

You have to phone them up to get it off hold. Then book a date and then you can look for cancelations.

Cant believe how easily theyve cancelled the tests.

The Burton test centre is 10 minutes from where I work...theyve cancelled all tests today (so ive heard) and for no good reason. The roads here are CLEAR...totally clear....'some' of the untreated pavements are slippy in parts. ....but the roads are no different to what they'd be after a short rain shower.

Maybe its the health amd safety garbage rearing its head again at the convenience of the DSA test staff.

I can just imagine how pissed off I would be if I were being tested this week. If I'd failed again last time I might have been..

i have spent around that figure on training, tests, travelling to lessons ect all to get an A1 licence :/

mark the examiner was trying to get tests to go ahead and even asked if there where any people who would have been affected by the changes but the snow got worse.

the most annoying thing though is that last time my test was cancelled for ice, and there was none by the time my test was due, as where as today he was cancelling them 2 at a time so i spent ages wondering if it would go ahead or not Thumbs Down

You've dropped over a grand on getting an A1 license? They really saw you coming.
