African adventure. Hmmmm...

Episode 1 was disappointing, thought there would be more bikes and riding. Seemed to be lots of Mr Boorman using his new found "celeb" status to do lots of interesting (non bike) stuff off his bucket list.

Hope episode 2 is better.

I was hoping it was going to be more like "The Long Way Round". I really quite enjoyed that.

It's a shame Ewan isn't onboard this adventure!

Ah it's okay. It's better than some of the usual tripe that's on the box. Thumbs Up

I still think his Dakar trip was the best show he has done.

I'm a little bit bored of his shows now, but I still wouldn't miss them

Can I take a guess? "Look at that mountain, that's amazing. Wow, this sky is just amazing. That tree... have you ever seen anything like it? This rock, wow, what an amazing rock..." Wink

Nah, I'll give it a miss.

All of his TV stuff is 95% shots of him saying "wow, that's amazing".
Thankfully though, some other stuff does happen.

I thought it was great, abseiling down TableTop mountain, and do we get amazing views, stunning panarama's. No, just a shot of the top of Charlies head and him making funny noises.

I still watch his programs though, he clearly likes bikes and that's good enough, not too many bike slanted programs on freeview.

I was wondering what Krad would make of this program?

I mean there are two guys riding big adventure bike's with hard luggage and loads of carrying capacity, and yet they have to have 2-3support vehicles and a car full of camera men and hanger's on.

Two guy's could carry a shitload of gear&camping equipment on bikes like that, and each have a Gopro cam, and that's it. I think the show would be about a million times more watchable then!

Yeah but they are useless - they can't even get the wheel to stay on their trailer! How would they cope on their own?

Going to watch it tomorrow and count how many times Boorman says "Amazing!"

Was alright, Boreman babels a lot a of crap and the other guy is an annoying wimp.

As the were going up the ice in the car the driver must have felt like knocking him out Laughing

Well disappointing - he only said "amazing" 6 times, although 3 of those were within a 30 second period talking about the Sani Pass.

Better than the first episode.

The thing to keep in mind is that this really has, so far, had bugger-all to do with bikes. It is just a bucket-list in great scenery.

Not a bad watch, given the above. Smile

There was worse. Ewan bringing his wife was worse. Truly amazing. She just turns off the tar and falls off. amazing. Any piece of dirt road she falls repeatedly. amazing. WTF? Is it a bike show or bike learners?
