...any news on the biker?

As this is a bike forum!

Saw this BBC video with abandoned bike near the fireball (I presume aviation fuel).

Judging by the wreckage, I can't imagine there'd be any survivors Sad

Strange that there's no emergency services at the scene in that video. They seem very calm if it did only just happen.

Not sure, but it was chaos this morning. Took me an hour longer to get to work. All my normal routes go via Vauxhall, and they were diverting HGVs down tiny roads... my fingers were too cold to take out my glove to check my location so I ended up buddying up with another rider who knew the way out of the residential maze! So many white vans doing U turns without looking, bloody hazardous.

Got to work at 10 expecting a bollocking and everyone was like "phew! We knew you come via vauxhall and all the photos have a downed motorbike in and you weren't answering your phone!!"

Last I heard was two confirmed fatalities, two casualties in hospital, no other details.

Very, very lucky; a few yards in any direction and that could've been a major disaster.

Considering it's right next to the MI6 (SIS/whatever secret service) building I bet a few sphincters were twitching there this morning.

Approx. location via google maps view.

This is where rolling news becomes interesting to watch as a technical exercise rather than as news. They feel like they have to keep reporting on it, but have nothing more to say. Makes for weird telly.

Yes 'MI6' is there.

I don't believe it. Tis a front, I tell ya!

As far as London cagers go, I'd say he was one of the most observant and sensible that I've seen to date.

Have you not seen the James bond where he drives a boat out of the back door. That's the only reason they put it there surely?

At the risk of losing serious man points - I don't like James Bond, so no I haven't seen it.

I just can't comprehend them being the Intelligence people and letting us know where they're based. It's all lies!

Going off-topic but...
Wouldn't that be MI5 then, via GCHQ.

They even have their own websites Shocked
See differences between MI5 and MI6.

Not really. That building's a whole helluva lot tougher than it looks. It was designed with direct attacks in mind.

I heard on the news that the crane operator was late for work that day...... Chances of that? I mean if he arrived on time he could have been in for a great view, or a terrible view.

2 dead, 13 injured is the latest but I have no idea if that includes the biker. One person on the chopper and one on the ground is what I heard last.
