My phone just updated so I have that Multi-window for apps and all that bollocks, but when I go to type / text it's different to what it used to be and takes ages now!

Anyone else having this problem and know how to get it back?

what version of android are you running now? 4.1.2 i'm guesing?
[settings > about phone] if you don't know

The only way you may be able to go back a version would be to root the phone (easy as pie) then flash using ODIN (also easy, but there is some risk)
if you are doing this you might as well install a custom ROM and get the very latest version of android (4.2.1). One of the major ROMs is cyanogen mod. Their stable releases are pretty good. Lots more options and stuff, but also better (imo) than stock (at least on the s2) even without tweaking the settings

you could try a third party text application such as go messenger.

I only just got the phone and updated straight away so i've no idea what it was like before. however some of the new camera fucntions are pretty smart.

You can disable the multi window from the options, has a tick box

It's all about the Omega rom and Siyah kernel, had 4.1.2 for ages.
