Has anybody ever been to a hypnotist for help. I'm seriously wondering if I should see a hypntist before I do any tests in the future because on my last test I was a mess of anxieties.

Go see your doctor he might be able to prescribe something for you Smile

One of my instructors told me about a girl who's nerves were so bad she got beta blockers to help her

Prescriptions would be a last resort to me, but i'm the kind to help myself before blaming it on something I can't control and using pills to 'fix it'

And by fix it I mean make it temporarily better while you're taking them and much worse when you're not, as all drugs seem to do

Read up on it, google around, help yourself, man up.

I was so nervous before my test that I bought some Rescue and was planning to practically overdose on the stuff. On the day of the test, I decided at the last second not to transfer my tank bag from my 125 to the school's bike (Suzuki Gladius) as I usually did. The instructor even mentioned the missing bag and I said we won't need it because we're we're only going to be an hour or so.

I arrived at the test centre and remembered where I left the Rescue... in the tank bag.

So, instead of drugs (well, ineffectual homeopathy, but still) I had to handle the nerves mentally. I took several deep breaths. I told myself that in the grand scheme of things, whether I pass this test is insignificant. I decided I am just going to ride as I normally do, as if I were going home from work, and if I fail it will be for the proper reasons (I'm unsafe) and not because I was so worried about passing that I fucked it up.

Plus, I'm always telling my kids to face their fears. Well, now was the time to man up and do it.

If I had taken the Rescue, it would have tainted the test, in my mind. I wasn't able to face my fear without chemical help. Don't go down that road. Just do it!

Personally I'd be more nervous of visiting a hypnotist.

Woof!

Doesn't work, only penetrative intercourse [does] the trick.

So invite the examiner to shag you up the arse.

when doing my driving test i took a spray that is meant to calm you down.. but i think its more "in your head" than anything else... when getting nervous accept your feelings and counteract them with the "i know i am nervous but i will be fine and i will pass!"

i get nervous before most things... riding .. before a football match.. but i just accept my feelings and re-assure myself... i also try and take my mind of it until it happens.. try listening to some music? (obviously not when doing your test lol)

I had some rescue remedy when i did my mod 2, passed first time with about 4 minors, and im normally an anxious person, i think my thread is somewhere in the depths of bcf.
I do have beta blockers too, which kill all the physical affects of anxiety, so much so that i could walk on Britains got talent naked, doing gangnam style and my heart rate wouldnt increase
