Hi, my Mod 1 and 2 have already been cancelled and my rescheduled ones are both on Friday the 18th; I am worried that it will be snowing again. ( I live in Leeds and the center is in Wakefield).

Does any one whether I will be subject to the new laws if it is cancelled tomorrow? I do think there would be an out cry if this is not allowed.

Is anyone in the same position as me, or have taken steps to complain, (im thinking of my local MP).

BTW im 17. and I wish not to be told that I have left it too late.

If it is cancelled tomorrow, then yes, you will be subject to the new rules, and no amount of complaining will changes that.

I won't tell you what you already know.

As Clive said, you will be subject to the new rules and there is unfortunately nothing you can do to change it. Good luck.

You left it too late.

The DSA and Whitehall have no leeway in this. As long as we're in Europe, we're bound by 2006/126/EC, which says that all licenses issued on or after 19th January 2013 shall be new stylee.

Your MP can do nothing. The UK Parliament can do nothing. If you're all fired up, UKIP are always looking for volunteers.

Good luck with the tests today. You can get a license in pretty horrendous conditions.

yea the main thing that pissed me off is that really you should get test ed under current laws after the 19th as you booked it before then and they cancelled it.

Thumbs Down

Going to be lean times ahead for the test centres as well as training schools.

They will just move the slack over to car tests, reducing the car waiting times. I just hope they remember to put them back over for the summer.

Yes it will be lean for a few months for schools, but looking forward I see hardly anyone going for the A1 test, but waiting for 19 to do the A2, which means we will be getting DAS type work 2 years earlier.

It is always lean at this time of year, but up to this week we have had the best winter ever.
