snow drift vs zxr.. fuck..

Just had an off on the zxr at around 70.. road was perfectly clear then out of nowhere i hit a snowdrift, as going well then the back end started sliding so i was hoping for a lowside but it threw itself back round and i had a high side into oncomming traffic..

damn it.

ill get pics once i can collect the bike

damage i saw was tank, clutch lever, gear lever, footpegs snapped off, frames scratched to shit.

popped up to get these pics and saw 2 other bikers who had come off. as another person on fb who had come off in the same spot.

I'm in SE too and there's virtually no snow where I am.
In fairness it's conditions like those that can catch you out, riding along for miles on well gritted roads, no snow or ice on the road at all, so you're pretty much treating it as if it was a wet road, and then, ice surprise! Still rider error though.

Sorry to hear Hahanumbarse its a bitch when that happens hope it works out right for ya I had a sideways drop on mine at 5mph just a bent clutch lever never go out when snow is forecast,I only went out on the bike as weather men always cock up the weather and it was dry in the morning.
