I dont believe the speed. I dont think anyone was capable of doing 70 today. I've seen the weather all over the news.

At least you're alright Smile and the roads are clear in kent, i was doing about 70-80 ish earlier today on my way to college with no issues, although i probably should have gone a little slower.

I'm in SE too and there's virtually no snow where I am.
In fairness it's conditions like those that can catch you out, riding along for miles on well gritted roads, no snow or ice on the road at all, so you're pretty much treating it as if it was a wet road, and then, ice surprise! Still rider error though.

Another reason why DTC helps in most adverse situations.
If you had bought the S1000RR you would have been able to scyth through that pile of snow and made good time on the journey.

Plus you could 'go on' about it's ultimate motorcycle kudos.

Sorry to hear Hahanumbarse its a bitch when that happens hope it works out right for ya I had a sideways drop on mine at 5mph just a bent clutch lever never go out when snow is forecast,I only went out on the bike as weather men always cock up the weather and it was dry in the morning.
