Can anyone recommend some? I already use DVDshrink but need some more as this gets hooked up on certain encodings.

Gordian Knot turns DVD to avi, good quality.

Dvd decrypter removes copy protection. I had to use both in conjunction before but it all works ok.

Depends what file you want at the end.

I use DVD Decrypter to get the whole DVD off but I've never just wanted to rip the video Laughing

Any one I've ever tried always results in progressive lip-sync problems. They generally start out ok but by the end the sync is so off that they're unwatchable.
