I'm seriously tempted by the Knox Zero gloves. I was tempted by the Handroids or the Biomechs but air-vent mesh to keep you cool...? Erm... no thanks!

They are very expensive but I have a bit of a thing about protecting my hands & wrists so if they're all they're cracked up to be I'd shell out for them.

Not many of the winter gloves seem to have the armour features.

Got the knox recons cheap last year. They're very similar to the zero's but obviously not waterproof because they're full of vents.

Very well made and barely a mark on them so far. Not tested the armour so far but confident they'd stand up to it fairly well. Been tempted to get a set of Zeros for winter myself.

Using a thick pair of frank thomas gloves whilst its cold, other than being a damn sight warmer they're crap compared to the knox.

Title changed - Anything else worth considering besides the Knox? Like I saw some Weise gloves with the Knox SPS sliders in them for £30 but eh... they looked a bit chilly.

I have the Spada Enforcers, onto my 2nd winter in them now. Yet to leak, and have solid armour on them.
Fine for my 40 minute commute along the motorway, but on my 300mile trip down south in early Dec to visit family, my hands got pretty chilly, it was about -2 though. At any rate, I don't know if any gloves (bar heated) would keep you warm for that amount of time.

Anyway, they get a Thumbs Up from me Smile

I also have the enforcers, armour consists of some carbon fibre(?) pads over the knuckles and tops of fingers and also at the bottom of the Ulna.
They also seem well constructed in terms of the leather stitching and I have never experienced and water getting in, although I have only had them a few months.

In terms of warmth the interior has thick insulating material that keeps your hands toasty. After a long ride and I have taken the gloves off and there was sweat as they keep them that well packed! My hands tend to stay warm over long journeys but eventually get a little numb on the areas exposed to the windchill but this is mostly down to my terrible circulation.

They are quite bulky, however I soon got used to this and it wasn't a problem.
