Hi, Hope this is the right place to post. Iv got a moped from the company direct bikes. Its a year old. The throttle cable has snapped. The direct bikes company are being a pain to get parts from. Does anyone know if it has to have a certain type of cable or can you use one from any make? And has anyone had problems with theirs? Thanks Rolling Eyes

We had some mopeds when I worked at Pizza Hut, Peugeot Blaster/Ludix with 4-stroke Chinese engines... rattly as fuck.

I keep having problems with the bike. And its a pain to get parts. Had trouble getting brakes for it too. But id rather just replace the cable and not have any problems with it! Dont really want to get another one. Smile

Re branded version of the Baotian BT49QT-9 (see my sig)
Parts should be exactly the same.

The Baotian BT49QT-9 is a chinese copy of the peugeot V clic. Parts also might fit.

Find another bike - sell it and move on asap. Little things will just keep going wrong. Tyre valves, electric starter motor, drive belt etc...

I believe Rob Fzs is selling an RXS 100 - bound to be infinitely better than anything Chinese.

Urgh, Direct Bikes seem to be the worst sort of "not our problem" disposable seller. They can't even spell warranty!

That's not to say that their bikes are necessarily all bad (I can see two of their geared bikes that have reasonable reputations and owners' clubs), but Chinese branded scooters are a big risk.

I'd agree that if you're 17+ that you should get that hairdryer running again and then shift it ASAP. Mopeds are a hazard on modern UK roads.

The thing is, £500 really doesn't get you much of a 125. You'll be begging, not choosing. How about you get back to us when you're ready to buy a 125 and we can mock help you a bit more then?

Just to add to the list for a replacement cable:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Throttle-Cable-Fits-50cc-Pulse-Scout-Direct-Bike-DB50QT-11-JMstar-JSD50QT-13-/190787585348?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c6bd38544

In the scooters favour, there is f**k all to the engine, I managed to strip and rebuild one in less than an hour, and that was with no previous knowledge
