It maybe dripping in good stuff, wrapped up in a beautiful fairing but will it suffer from bad fuelling and a waiting time of months for replacement parts?

Who cares....It's gorgeous...I love a bit of trellis I do.

Thing with the MV is it has not really changed much in years. Donkeys years. It doesnt look that much different to the MV I was drooling over way back in 99.

That said. Why change something thats been THAT nice looking for so long and still looks the muts nuts.

1999

See. Very little difference. Especially when you comapre it to the likes of Hondas Fireblade and Suzuki's GSXR.

I always found them pretty plain and bland...

Until a saw a few up close at manchesters bike show. Just WOW!

The quality in the engineering and the shininess on everything is just drool worthy! I especially like the way the metal of the top yoke has been skimmed into shape Laughing

Fisty, I'm rating your post redundant on account that even if I had a job I still WOULDN'T pay £13.5 thousand for a bike.

So my employment status is neither important or relevant and the fact you bring it up just shows your attempting to start a flame. Which has failed.

Bye bye.

edit: Also, you must be blind not to realise attempts to gain employment are being made with great effort. So dragging it up all the time is pointless and frankly does not help at all. Quite the opposite.

Thing is that price is not much more than a brand new Gixxer and Fireblade.

Gixxer thou is 10,999
Busa is 11,299
Fireblade is 11,300 or with abs 12,000
R1 is 11,999

If I had the kind of money available to buy any of the above I'd sure as hell save the extra up and go for the MV. Afterall the big Japs are 2 to a penny these days. Not often do you see the MV around.

The MV F4 is 998CC.

So I'd rather go with an R1 personally. Yes there are alot around, and sure its nice to have something different, but parts will be plentiful without waiting times.

Bollocks, if you were earning decent money you would buy it.

Fuck me I'd pay £14K to have that as a work of art in my house.

I honestly wouldn't. Its because of my unemployment and living on a budget that I've learnt to appreciate earning decent money and sure, you can spend it on what ever, but I'll be putting a large amount of earnings when I get that illusive job into a savings account making sure I have something to fall back on when I get the inevitable letter saying my pension fund is non existent.

That 14K is a month or two comfortable living money come retirement.

I was thinking just that - basically they've made the exhausts and a few other bits pointier and changed the wheels. About it.

Oh and a BMW for that £13.5k surely, unless the MV is actually a good bike? But it rarely seemed to be much faster than the Jap bikes despite previously being a good bit more.

I would go for used Ducati 1098R over the MV F4.

I do like the MV marque, but (lone voice of dissent alert), the *looks* of this bike - like so many today - make me throw up. I loathe the lack of symmetry created by a single-sided swing arm. I find the geometry of the aggressively raised rear to be utterly preposterous. Finally, the abundance of plastic looks tacky and cheap. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to tell one bike from another, as all their character disappears beneath acres of polymer.

I prefer the look of single sided sports bikes. Awesome stuff.

Another meh, and I'm generally a fan of plastic fantastic.

It's over stylised, late early 90's to early 00's did it best.
