I seem to get a bad wobble when I get to 80 and the bike seems to be all over the place. If theres a bump in the road my bike seems to find it, but the tyers seem fine. Bike is a zrx 1200r with 28k on the clock anyone any ideas? Ps i have a touring screen if that makes any difference thanks.

I'd be looking at tyres before anything else.

Check the easy things first:

Tyre condition
Wheel Bearings
Steering Head Bearings
Wheel Alignment
Fork Alignment
Wheel Balance (does it look like any weights have fallen off?)

Are the tyres a matching pair / are they inflated to correct psi? Have wheels been balanced?

If no joy with that, try checking front and back wheel bearings for play, swinging-arm bushes/bearings and steering head bearings.

If no good after that, might be worth having the rear shock looked at.

All assuming your screen isn't the problem, of course! Have you tried the bike without it on?

Yes tyres are matching and are correct psi i don't know if they are balanced as i only just got the bike a few days ago. All bearings seem fine and no I've not tried the bike without the screen will take it off tomorrow and let everyone know thanks.

No not checked stearing head bearings by the look of things its going to be them or the screen. Would the bearings be fucked after only 28k ? Will try an have a look tommorrow after work anit really got anywhere to work on the bike which is a shame.

Are the 12 shocks the same as the 11? One of mine went at 16k and made the bike wabble.

A head bearing kit is normally around £30, getting a garage to fit them is very roughly another £100.

It's not a hard job to do, it's essentially just tapping bits of metal in and out of holes, but it can be a bit of a faff.
