get to a clothing shop and try a few on. decide if you want leather or textiles as each has it's advantages and disadvantages. then choose by what feels best when it's on. Thumbs Up

Missus got one of these > https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/textile-jackets/rst-razor-textile-jacket - seems to be decent quality for the £s. Not been out in the wet yet though, so can't comment on that.

Seen some rst textiles that don't look too bad and fairly well priced

don't really get this train of thought, come off a 125 at 65mph will result in you hitting the floor at the same speed as any other bike....

Dont under estimate ebay for gear.

I bought a second hand textile jacket thats barely been worn.

retailed at £60.

Bought and delivered for £20.

Shoulder, elbow and back armour, removable thermal layer, good stitching and zips, loads of pockets.

It's a little bit big but thats good, means I can layer up in the cold weather.

So yeah, don't discount ebay all together.

All my gear is off eBay. I got a Wolf leather jacket (retro style apparently) for £40 delivered - NWOT. Saw them in J&S last week and couldn't help but laugh out loud at the fact they were still £250 Thumbs Up
Oh actually, I get helmets in a shop. Prefer to try them on.

Ebay is good for gear if you look around. I know you want textile, but I got my RST leather jacket £80 new with tags, then a month later the bottoms to fit for £75 new with tags.

I have an rst textile jacket, seems very good quality and can be used all year round... It has a removable thermal inner lining that you can take out and also has airvents you can unzip for when the warmer weather comes.. It also has back, shoulder and elbow armor and comes with a neck bandana thing that zips onto it to keep your neck warm. Its fully waterproof aswel, I paid £120 for it, its called rst raptor jacket.

This, and car boot sales. My current textile was as new, £15. My leather was £35 (Add £5 each for entrance fee and obligatory dogburger).

I picked up an old season hein gericke goretex touring jacket.. think its name is the Cruise for £20 at the BMF 2 years ago. Its been brilliant, keeps me toast, dry (tested during 10 hour trip to glasgow in a downpour) and has some pretty decent armour in it.

Probably my best buy yet Very Happy Shame my crappy lidl trousers didnt do so well on that trip. From my waist down was soaking, balls were floating in a pool of water Crying or Very sad
