Hi, i bought a lovely m max rev off limitter for my vfr400, but my eelectrical skills are, er, shit, what exactly do you wire it too?

i know its to do with the c.d.i box at the rear of the bike but theres 2 connections there and i don't wanna go blowing stuff up

Yes i tried the instructions but theyre japanese, plus the pics look like they were drawn by a child using crayons, cheers

First not all NC30's are restricted, only the grey import one's. The UK spec are full power so this could be the problem.

Otherwise it just plugs into the loom so find the plug it fits, normally near the speedo and your sorted.

Yeah if its just the little box that takes or the engine retarding at high speed then it plugs in by the speedo.

A lot of them (including the HRC box) plug inline with the CDI. I have a feeling the M-Max is one of these types.

I'm an idiot with electronics, there are 2 connection plugs coming from the cdi which are on the rear left of the sub frame, im assuming the box plugs in one of these, one's black, one's white, any difference?

Cheers again

Sorry I've not fitted an M-Max so I don't know. I guarantee you'll get the answer you're looking for on the 400greybike forum. There'll be hundreds of people on there that have fitted them.

I have m-max and it is located up front by the clocks. Nowhere near the CDI, mine doesn't plug into the CDI. Mine is CBR

Mine looks like it was pretty easy to fit. Not sure what it is like on the VFR.

Go to that forum. Thumbs Up
