i have just bought a Honda nsr125 fn 1992 with 24000 kilo on the clock today for my wife and son to use, 2 questions; all is ok but when it revs to 5 thou just as the powerband kicks in, it screems its head off (clutch slip) and dosent pick up any speed. my question is-is it just clutch slip is this usual for this bike? And also how is the cluth cable routed? through the frame or over the top of the radiator? i have owned and serviced many modern superbike but this is my first 2 stroke so any advice greatly recieved....

I would take some of that weight of the clocks, you might brake them.

How is the clutch lever? If its to tight due to wrong route or to tight your clutch may be slipping. 24k is not to much for a clutch but its its been owned by kids learning to ride then i would tend to just get a new one. Cant be that expensive for a 125.

iv already looked for replacements but its the cause of it,iv had the bike 8 hours and stripped all off the frame but the engine and will look at that during the week if i get chance.. i take it there arnt many 2 stroke owners on here or most people like me havent a clue about 2 bangers, or is it all the same- a clutch is a cluch??? the lever is sound and its suposed to be a new cable, thats why im asking about the route it takes to the actual clutch case linkage
