Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Ha ha 18Aprilia, you're a funny guy. Thumbs Up

Rs125s are good. I rate them, but they wont have anything on a 600, or even an old 400 for that matter. Just like a 600 will cream a 400, no probs.

When you pass your test and get a bigger bike you will see.

Having said that, I do regard the RS125 as the best 125 2-stroke.

I think he may have been on about just crusing along, not racing. Not everyone rides there bikes at WOT all of the time - (unless youve got a shitty small cc like me Sad )

You'll be a lot more 'satisfied' than if it was a 4stroke 125.

While it will be initially expensive I suspect, at least it's probably a good option to the cbr125 in the sporty learner market.. well some kind of option Smile. While people may buy it for the tarty looks, at least they should have the performance to match to some degree.

I passed several 600's at a trackday on my stock 13 year old Honda RS125 (pictured in my sig) and then procceded on getting a new RSV1000. In open practice sessions you get them all the time, flying past 50mph faster than you and if you don't get them back on the brakes you get them around the corner. A trackday I did ages ago I passed even more on a 30 year old Honda MT125 which put out a shocking 24bhp!!!
Most annoying is at Darley Moor when they put the Forgotten Era (I can race with them as well as the 125GP coz my bike is that old!) in with the 400's, you spend half a lap getting right up to a 400 at the hairpin sometimes going around the outside (and sometimes making it stick!) then they toast you down the straight, but by the time you reach that last corner before the start finish your right on their arse again and thats one of the longest straights in the UK.
Anyone know what the guys on Superbike school have got their laps down to??? I havent seen it for a while coz its crap. Last time I saw it they got it down to 1:10 or 1:11. My PB is a 6th (out of a full grid of 125's) with a 1:09, but ive only raced there twice, the best 125 that day did a 1:04!! but thats a 50bhp beast (mine claims 39bhp at the crank!!) with a rider whos done more laps at Darley than I have everywhere in total. Anyway I can't wait till next year especially as i should be on a newer bike.

The dealer down near me sells these and had a whole bunch of 50's in and I must say their OK but the Aprillias finish is alot better these derbis especially the red ones look real cheap and shaggy compared to the rs.

But for what they are Thumbs Up Thumbs Up if i was 16 I would fall in love with that bike.
