Hi,

I'm looking at buying a 2005 636 ZX6R.

I will be 21 when the insurance starts, and would like to know any good cheap companies for younger riders on sports bikes?

21, 3 NCB and had my licence 3 years.

Cheers

Exactly the same as me, same time, same ncb and same bike. Falcon insured it last year for 400 and MCE insured me this year for 230. Smile

Not bad. Just tried MCE and got quoted £612.

Off the bike insurer, I've been quoted £522 by Just Motorcycle Insurance

I can't believe we still get these threads Rolling Eyes

Insurance depends on many factors. Use a comparison site.

I know.

Insurers have target markets which varies over time, so I can't look at old threads. Just looking for rough ideas on which brokers to look at as not all are on comparison websites.

Thanks for the help though. Middle Finger

I know that Bikesure is an excellent company to go with, and I'd go as far as to pay an extra £75 to be with them, but if anyone is any cheaper than that, I would go cheap as possible.

H n r are quite cheap. Absolute cunts to deal with though but insured me at 17 on a restricted ninja for 700. I live near Shrewsbury which a oldish area. Not sure if that effects my insurance over yours. Probably does Smile

I've just renewed my insurance but, before I did I went on some comparison sites.

The cheapest quotes came from MCE and Bikesure (both £200 fully comp) but both also came with compulsory excess of £1,450.

My current insurer (Hiscox) offered me £150 fully comp (with 2 no fault accidents) and £350 compulsory excess. I've found their service to be spot on as well.

Just use a comparison site.

Will be cheaper there than anywhere else, or at least give you a good idea of how much it is going to cost.
