Okay, so when I was about 3 or 4 (1991/92) we got our first family computer. It was an Amiga 600.

My favorite game(s) while growing up, were the Secret of Monkey Island, and LeChuck's revenge. I would play them of an evening with my Dad. Fantastic memories. Razz

Moving on to about 1997, I bought CMI (The Curse of Monkey Island) on CD-ROM, and completed it.

Since then, I've always re-downloaded the first two games for my PC, and just flown through them, just to reminisce.
I played these by running them via a DOS-BOX (A friend showed me how to do this), and I had a folder with about 100 classic Amiga games in it. Good times.

I remember getting a copy of EMI (Escape from Monkey Island) a few years ago, and having a blast on it. I got quite a way into the game, and kinda gave up. I'd like to play it again.

I've tried to download it online, but I can only find it as a 'Binary file', which I do not understand.
I've found it on CD-ROM for under a tenner delivered, but it says for Win 95/98. Will it work with my laptop, which is on Windows 7?

I'm a little behind on modern PC technology now. But I really do need my fix of the ScummBar adventure game. Razz

You can usually run older games in windows compatibility mode. This will make windows run it like 95/98 would. That binary file will be an executable you should be able to run directly. It may however need to be run from command like. I think there is a windows option for this somewhere in the right click compatibility settings.

I'm sure I've got a disc kicking about here which has all the Monkey Island games on. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow and test it on Win7.

Tried the Scumm VM, didn't get very far.

Think I'll just buy EMI on CD-ROM if it'll play in my laptop.

JeFr0, I agree, best game ever. Got the app for MI1 on my phone, but it's quite hard on such a small scale. Laughing
