I can't believe it - I just seen a gritting lorry pass the window!!!!!!!!! 
Please don't tell me there's ice on the way! Not when we're in the process of de-restricting the bike!!!!!!!!!!!

Ice in weegie land? I thought it just rained and not much else? It always seemed to when I lived on the west coast... Snow wasn't forthcoming much further south than Inverness.. 
As for ice and snow in England...  People living in England have luxury compared to living north of the Cairngorms!

Sheffield, -2 tonight here too.
Bike's staying locked up until thursday morning at least though, so the weather doesn't concern me that much at the minute.

It's a commonly held scientific opinion that as a result of global warming, Britain will actually get colder.
I'm not sure if this is the case or where I heard it, but I do remember hearing it several times.

just been working in liverpool
and had the gritting lorrys chuck grit all over us on the bikes 
raining on the way there
-1 on the way back but the roads were dry so coming back from warrington on the a50 had fun on the twistys
getting bloody cold though |
